Camp Kydnie is a 100% volunteer-run organization. Our volunteers serve various roles including camp counselors, support staff, and medical staff.
Counselors are assigned to a specific cabin age group. Counselors accompany campers on their daily activities and have tons of fun supervising and joining in on activities! The average camp day is jam-packed full of fun with daily activities and games. Camp Kydnie Counselors can expect to be on their feet with campers for most of the day and should be physically able to keep up with the demands of the camp schedule.
Counselors are 18+ years of age (21+ in the teens cabin).
While we actively recruit male and female counselors, we are in high need for male counselors aged 21+.
Counselors in training (CIT) is a volunteer position for high school students who are going into their senior year of high school and are at least 16 years old. Students are provided the opportunity to develop leadership skills, experience working with children while having fun! CITs and counselors will accompany campers to their daily activities and games.
Support staff volunteers assist with running camp. This includes assisting with check in/check out, moving and organizing supplies, decorating, set up of tables and chairs, set up and running activities, snack prep, camp clean up, emptying and packing up camp shed and assisting camp directors as needed. Support staff have a lot of fun during the week!
Medical staff include trained doctors and nurses who support our medical director in the med shed. Medical staff assist in providing medical care are needed to campers as well as preparing and delivering medication to campers. In available free time, medical staff are able to accompany campers and participate in camp activities.
